Council voted to issue the development permit for this project on July 25, 2016.
The project includes:
- 460 residential units
- a public community centre
- a public plaza
- seven buildings ranging in heights from an 18 storey tower to 3 storey townhouses
- an underground mini-storage facility
- a small retail space suitable for a cafe or bakery

July 25, 2016 — Development permit approved by Council

May 3, 2016 — Development permit for entire site
LARCO's design team has been working to provide detailed designs for the entire site. We have now received these detailed designs, and are reviewing them.
February-March, 2016 — Tree removal
LARCO is removing some trees and vegetation from their site, in advance of this year's bird nesting season. This will allow them to assess the site for future construction activities, should their proposal proceed.
March 30, 2016 — Public information meeting
Larco hosted a public information meeting to review their latest plans for this development.

January 29, 2016 — Development permit application received
LARCO submitted a detailed development permit application for the first half of their project. Council is expected to consider the proposal in late spring/early summer 2016.
November 17, 2014 — Rezoning approved by Council
Council approved the rezoning of the LARCO site. The proposal moves on to the development permit stage of the process.

Site overview
The site is
- located in Lions Gate Village near Capilano Road and Marine Drive
- approximately 4.4 acres (1.771 hectares)
Approved zoning
The site has been rezoned to a new Comprehensive Development Zone.
The proposed development is in accordance with the objectives for Lions Gate Village in the District's Official Community Plan.
Project details
The proposal is in keeping with the Lower Capilano Marine Village Plan. It will include:
- a mix of housing options including apartments, townhouses, rental units and a seniors building
- commercial space, including a café
- a community centre with express library
- a public plaza and open space
- park space
- a new public trail connecting Fullerton Avenue to Curling Road and linking to Belle Isle Park
Access
A new street connecting Fullerton Avenue to Curling Road is proposed. To improve access to the neighborhood a new set of traffic lights is planned for the intersection of Curling Road and Capilano Road. Construction of the traffic lights is planned for the spring of 2016.
