Park and Open Space Strategic Plan

We are pleased to announce that the Parks and Open Space Strategic Plan (POSSP) was adopted by DNV Council at its November 19, 2012 meeting.

The Parks and Open Space Strategic Plan is a parks umbrella document which sets out a vision for the future and a clear direction for the development, maintenance and renewal of the District’s parks and open spaces for the next 10 years.

We would like to thank the many parks and recreation stakeholder groups and members of the public who attended workshops and open houses and provided feedback regarding the vision, guiding principles, goals, objectives and key recommendations.  Many also took part in the Official Community Plan community engagement process, which helped guide the development of the POSSP.
