Changes to building permit requirements coming July 1, 2018

Effective July 1, 2018, we will be implementing the BC Energy Step Code, a provincial standard that provides an incremental and consistent approach to achieving more energy-efficient buildings.

Any building permit application for new construction submitted on or after July 1 will have to demonstrate compliance, and be constructed to meet those steps.
