OCP Action Plan implementation update

Council received an early-progress update on the Official Community Plan (OCP) Action Plan during its regular meeting on June 13.
The Action Plan supports the continued implementation of the 2011 OCP, which sets the direction for future growth and change in the District through 2030.
The Action Plan focuses on four key topic areas – transportation, housing, economy and employment lands, and climate emergency – and prioritizes actions moving forward.
Since Council endorsed the Action Plan in July 2021, work on the 23 "quick win" activities is progressing well, with five completed, 15 underway, and three in the early planning stages.
