Riverside Dr at Mt Seymour Parkway closed July 5 to August 31
From July 5 to August 31, crews will be replacing an aging culvert beneath Riverside Drive at Mount Seymour Parkway.
The existing culvert — a corrugated steel pipe — is corroded, and will be replaced by a concrete box culvert, which will increase its capacity, reducing flood risk and improving fish passage to Hogans Pools.
Traffic impacts during this work
To enable this construction, Riverside Drive will be closed at Mt Seymour Parkway, and a detour put in place.
We will temporarily remove the bollards at Seymour Boulevard and will detour traffic to and from the area via Grantham Place and Seymour Boulevard. Parking will be restricted to the west side of Seymour Boulevard only for the duration of the detour.
This is a temporary detour to ensure the safety of our workers and to allow us to complete this work as quickly as possible. The regular closure on Seymour Boulevard will be reinstated once construction is complete.
Access for pedestrians and cyclists
Pedestrians and cyclists who dismount will be escorted through the construction zone at Riverside Drive.
Access for nearby residents
Access to residents immediately adjacent to the work zone will be maintained throughout construction.
