Fees for cart exchanges
Depending on the cart changes you request, there may be an increase to your annual curbside garbage utility fee. Please review this information on how fees are applied, as well as the actual related fees, before completing your request.

* Two 140L carts are only available to homes with secondary suites; one cart for the primary home and the second cart for the suite
How fees are applied
On your 2024 tax notice, your utility fee will reflect the carts you had as of March 31, 2024.
If you change your carts after March 31, 2024, fees will be calculated like this:
- Fee decrease — The decrease for the balance of 2024 will be reflected as a credit on your 2025 property tax notice (we will not reissue your 2024 tax notice).
- Fee increase — At the time you request the change, you will be required to pay the partial fee for the balance of 2024. Your 2025 tax notice will then reflect the new fee.
