Natcon Construction Services has applied to has applied to redevelop this site.

The application as submitted proposes 39 owned apartments and seven commercial retail units in a four-storey building. A total of 65 parking spaces (45 for residents, 4 for visitors, 14 for commercial uses, and 2 car share spaces) are provided via a single-level underground parkade, and surface parking to the rear of the site.

December 9, 2020 to January 8, 2021 — Public information meeting (online)

The applicant hosted a public information, which we require as part of the application process. A public information meeting is your opportunity to learn more about the proposal, ask questions, and share your thoughts. Due to the current situation with COVID-19, this meeting was held online.

October 19, 2020 — Detailed application received

Staff received the detailed application and started reviewing it.

August 8, 2019 — Preliminary application completed

Staff finished reviewing the preliminary application. If the applicant wishes to continue with this project, the next step is for them to submit a detailed application.

Site overview

The site is currently occupied by a car dealership. The buildings to the north, east, and west are all commercial, and buildings to the south are residential. 

Current land use designation

The Official Community Plan (OCP) designates this site as Commercial Residential Mixed-Use Level 1 (CRMU1).

If this application proceeds, it will require a development permit for:

  • Form and character of commercial, industrial, and multi-family development
  • Energy and water conservation and greenhouse gas emission reductions
