Climate Action Advisory Committee
The Climate Action Advisory Committee provides advice, community perspective, and support towards advancing policies and actions to achieve our climate action targets, protect and enhance biodiversity and ecosystem health, and ensure the District is resilient to future climate change impacts.
What you can do at home
Switch to a heat pump
We're working with the other North Shore municipalities and the province’s CleanBC program to help homeowners make the switch to energy efficient, low-carbon heat pumps for home heating and cooling.
Help expand the urban forest canopy
We're providing free trees to homeowners to help us expand the urban forest canopy. An expanded urban forest can capture and store carbon, filter air pollutants, stabilize soils, and more.
