DNV and partners earn award for leadership in climate adaptation

We are pleased to announce that the District of North Vancouver and our partners have been recognized at the 2021 Climate & Energy Action Awards. The honour comes in the Climate Adaptation category for leadership in the North Shore Sea Level Rise Risk Assessment and Adaptive Management Strategy. The strategy was developed by the District, the City of North Vancouver, the District of West Vancouver, North Shore Emergency Management, the Port of Vancouver, and the Squamish Nation.

North Shore gets funding for multi-faceted response to homelessness

Starting this fall, new and enhanced people centered services such as hygiene facilities, Indigenous outreach, new mobile services, and other supports will be delivered to unsheltered homeless people on the North Shore, through a multi-partner regional approach funded by $1.97-million in federal and provincial Safe Restart funding.
