Coexisting with coyotes

Winter is breeding season for coyotes, and we’re receiving sighting reports from residents in our community.

Here’s what you can do if you spot a coyote in your neighbourhood:

  • Keep your cats inside, dogs leashed, and small children close by
  • Remove food sources from your yard
  • Never feed a coyote
  • Let your neighbours and community know if you’ve spotted a coyote in the area
  • Contact BC Conservation if a coyote shows aggression toward humans or is injured or sick
