District to honour National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

On September 30, 2021, the District will be closed for business to recognize the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

As we observe this new statutory holiday, we will offer limited services, including garbage collection for Zone 3.

The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation is to honour survivors of residential schools, their families and their communities. We are observing this day as part of our ongoing commitment to truth and reconciliation.

We encourage everyone to take time to reflect on the history and legacy of residential schools, and to honour survivors, families and communities.
