Extreme heat warning issued
North Shore residents are being advised to stay cool and hydrated after a heat warning has been issued by Environment Canada for the region.
Temperatures ranging from 34 to 38 degrees are expected.
Avoid heat-related illnesses by finding ways to stay cool and take steps to protect yourself, your family and pets.

Libraries
If you need a place to escape the heat, try visiting a North Vancouver District Public Library branch, where you can cool down and access water-filling stations.

- Capilano Library (3045 Highland Boulevard)
- Parkgate Library (3675 Banff Court)
Spray parks
The District has four spray parks:
- Eldon Park (Sunset Boulevard and Ruby Crescent)
- Kilmer Park (Between Dempsey Road and Kilmer Road -1600 Block Dempsey Road)
- Myrtle Park (Off 1500 Block Deep Cove Road, 4400 Block Banbury Road)
- Viewlynn Park (2600 Block of Viewlynn Drive)
