Honouring the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

We will be flying the Survivors' Flag at District Hall and lighting the Hall up orange from September 25-30 to honour the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

The District is committed to advancing reconciliation and strengthening relationships with local First Nations, including the səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam) Nations.

Staff at the District continue our journey to learn and understand the residential school system and its intergenerational impact on First Nation, Inuit and Métis communities at workshops offered during the week leading up to the National Day of Truth and Reconciliation.
