National Indigenous Peoples Day

This June 21, we celebrate the culture and history of local First Nations, the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) and səl̓ilwətaʔɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations, and all Indigenous communities.

We value their contributions as stewards of the land and waters. As this month is also recognized as National Indigenous History Month, we continue our journey to learn, honour and reflect upon the countless ways Indigenous People have forever shaped this community.

We are committed to learning and pursuing truth as we continue to work towards reconciliation.
