North Shore Wellness & Resilience Centre now open

In the response to the events that took place in Lynn Valley Village on Saturday afternoon, North Shore Emergency Management (NSEM), with the support of all three North Shore municipalities, has set up a Wellness & Resilience Centre at Karen Magnussen rec centre.

The centre is a space for the community to access services to support their mental and emotional well-being during this difficult time.

The centre is open from 11:00am to 6:00pm daily, for an initial period of seven days and may be extended if needed.

Grief counsellors are available at the centre, on a drop-in basis. No appointment is required.

Free childminding will be available onsite during the same hours.

COVID safety protocols are in place, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is available.
