North Shore wide emergency training exercise on November 16

On November 16, your three North Shore municipalities will participate in a large scale emergency simulation that will include many agencies and will cover land, sea, and air.

This event is being coordinated by your tri-municipal emergency agency, North Shore Emergency Management (NSEM) and will be the largest training exercise ever conducted on the North Shore. You may notice unusual activity which may include active emergency response vehicles, marine vessels, and helicopters.

This is a drill and is not a cause for concern.

We, along with the City of North Vancouver and District of West Vancouver, are committed to emergency preparedness and supporting our communities in the event of any crisis. This NSEM event will further prepare us for that leadership role.

We encourage you to prepare yourself, your family and your business for emergencies.
