Official Community Plan white papers

As part of our review of the District's Official Community Plan, we've published a series of white papers that examine four key areas including housing, transportation, climate emergency, and economy and employment lands.

What is the Community Plan review?

We're working with our community to develop an action plan that will continue to guide our work and takes into account emerging issues, challenges, and trends related to four key topic areas including housing, transportation, climate emergency, and economy and employment lands.

What type of information do the white papers include and what will they be used for?

The purpose of each white paper is to break down complex issues and provide important background information on each topic area. Each white paper also includes a list of potential actions we could take to address key issues, with recommendations on ways to achieve goals and policies.

Council will use the findings from the white papers to develop an action plan.
