Operation Red Nose designated driver service

WATCH | Learn about the Operation Red Nose safe driver service

Operation Red Nose is a designated-driver service which helps to keep our community safe during the holiday season.

For the 18th year, Operation Red Nose on the North Shore is brought to you by the North Shore Rotary Clubs.

How it works

If you find you've had a bit too much cheer while celebrating the holidays, you can arrange to have a volunteer drive you home in your own car.

The Operation Red Nose service is provided by a team of three volunteers — an escort driver, a volunteer driver, and a navigator. The volunteer driver and navigator ride along with you in your car, while the escort driver provides transportation to the team after they've dropped you off.

Available hours and contact information

Service is available from Horseshoe Bay (West Vancouver) to Deep Cove (North Vancouver) from 9pm-3am on November 30, December 1, 7, 8, 14, 15, 21, 22, and New Years Eve.

While the service is free, donations are gratefully accepted. Proceeds go toward helping to fund local youth sport and other not-for-profit organizations.
