UPDATE (May 25): Mt. Fromme is now open

The B.C. Conservation Officer Service (COS) has reopened trails on Mt. Fromme after a negative human-bear interaction in the area on Friday, May 21.
The bear has not been located, and the COS continues to monitor any activity. No additional sightings have been reported.
The COS strongly urges the public to take precautions when in the wilderness, including carrying bear spray, making noise when outside and staying in groups.
