COVID-19 cases at care home in Lynn Valley

About the confirmed COVID-19 cases on the North Shore

The District was made aware of the outbreak at a care home in Lynn Valley this morning, where two residents and one caregiver have tested positive for COVID-19.

We understand this news is concerning, as our care home residents are some of our most vulnerable people in our community

The health of the community is our primary concern. The District is being guided by local, provincial, and federal health authorities who are working hard to contain this outbreak.

Steps you can take to protect yourself

We advise members of our community to follow the information that Vancouver Coastal Health provides.

The best advice is still to:

  • Wash your hands,
  • stay home if you’re sick, and
  • avoid contact with people that are visibly ill.

If you think you may have symptoms of coronavirus, call 8-1-1 for an assessment.
