With the provincial election taking place fall 2020, there are different rules and regulations for displaying election signs. Regulations in the District of North Vancouver In the District, you are not permitted to place election signs in the following locations:

If your garbage pick-up is scheduled for Monday or Tuesday this week and you have extra garbage that doesn't fit in your cart, a maximum of two standard size garbage bags are allowed due to the missed collection last week.

Due to the air quality advisory, we were unable to collect garbage in Zones 2 and 3 this week. A maximum of two extra, standard sized garbage bags are permitted for next week's collection.

Waste collection services may be impacted this week due to the poor air quality. If materials are not collected by 5pm on your scheduled pick-up day, remove carts and set them out on your next collection day.

Due to the poor air quality conditions, our crews were unable to complete organics collection for all households in zone 2 today.

Our local First Nations partners, Tsleil-Waututh Nation and Inlaillawatash Tree Service, are removing hazard trees in Cates Park/Whey-ah-Wichen.

At 8pm on September 9, DNVFRS responded to a wildfire in the Woodlands area. Firefighters controlled the wildfire by 12:30am on September 10.

On the morning of August 29, a watermain break occurred along Naomi Place in Deep Cove affecting approximately 30 homes in the area. We have completed the repairs and water service is reinstated.
