Mt Fromme parking lot, Lynn Canyon Park parking lots, and skateboard parks will be closed, effective Monday, March 23 at 7am. Quarry Rock and Lynn Canyon Suspension Bridge are closed to the public until further notice, effective March 22, 2020. Full list of closures at DNV.org/covid-19

We took this unprecedented step because visitors were not following provincial health officer orders to maintain a physcial distance of two metres. The closures will be enforced beginning March 22 at 7am.

Effective March 20, all public playgrounds in District of North Vancouver parks are closed. Sports fields are closed to scheduled games, but remain open for casual use.

To minimize the risk of transmission during the COVID-19 pandemic, we're asking residents to please call or email us instead of coming into District Hall.

The District continues to be involved in planning and information-sharing related to COVID-19 with North Shore Emergency Management (NSEM) and our health care partners on the outbreak at a care home in Lynn Valley. We are also taking steps to protect our employees and the community.

Earlier today, the District was notified of the tragic news of the Lynn Valley care home resident who passed away from COVID-19. Our thoughts are with the family and loved ones during this sad time, and we send them our condolences.
