The Lynn Canyon park entrance and parking lot will be open to pedestrians and vehicles starting Saturday, January 25, as the first phase of utility work is now complete. The suspension bridge remains closed for maintenance and to replace the decking.

The Lynn Canyon park entrance and parking lot is currently closed to pedestrians and vehicles, as the culvert located across the access road is being replaced. We anticipate that work will be completed and the park re-opened to visitors later this week. 

Garbage, organics, and recycling collection for residents living in Zone 3 will take place today, January 17, as scheduled. Due to the weather, our crews are collecting garbage first today.

Garbage and organics collection for residents living in Zone 2 will take place today, January 16, as scheduled. If there is risk to staff, residents or potential property damage due to weather and road conditions, collection may be postponed until the next scheduled collection.

Given the current weather conditions, some garbage, organics, and recycling pickups have been missed over the last few days. Today, January 15, we have cancelled garbage, organics, and recycling collection for residents in Zone 1.

Due to the recent snowfall, Lynn Canyon Park is closed to both pedestrians and vehicles until further notice. A reminder that the Lynn Canyon suspension bridge remains closed for maintenance and to replace the decking.

There has been a watermain break at Panorama Drive on the corner of Raeburn St. in Deep Cove. Crews are on the scene and water has been restored.

The Lynn Canyon suspension bridge will remain closed over the holidays for maintenance and to replace the decking. We anticipate work will be completed by early 2020.

Crews are on the scene, and we expect water in the area to be restored by about 11pm this evening.

Starting the week of December 9, 2019, approximately 30 hazard trees in the Malcolm Lowry Trail in Cates Park will be completely or partially removed for safety reasons.
