Councillor Lisa Muri

Lisa Muri was first elected to Council in 1996 and re-elected for her seventh term in 2014. She is the longest-serving member of North Vancouver District Council.

Over the years, Councillor Muri has been a strong advocate in preserving North Vancouver District residents’ quality of life. She is also driven by the environment and the continuation of the District’s family neighbourhoods. A local community volunteer, Councillor Muri served for many years with the Deep Cove Community Association, and was President of GUARD, a group formed in the mid 90s that protected 1,200 acres of environmentally sensitive land from development on the lower slopes of Mount Seymour. 

Councillor Muri was born and raised in Deep Cove and she is married with three children:  Sydney, Jordan, and Ben.
