We’re working to create a safe and accessible connected network of active transportation routes that encourage people of all ages and abilities to walk, roll and cycle across the District.

Active transportation helps to improve health and fitness, is more economical, has less environmental impact, and helps promote safer streets and neighbourhoods.

Improved route connections and infrastructure also allows people to access public transit more efficiently, helping to create a more healthy and livable community.
