Kirkstone Park to Salop Trail cycling route

We're working to connect the Lynn Valley and Lynn Creek town centres with a continuous cycling route of multi-use paths and neighbourhood bike pathways through the District.

Once completed, the Lynn Valley Town Centre to Lynn Creek Town Centre Cycling Route will provide a safe and convenient, well-lit corridor that will help encourage people to cycle to the town centres.

Background

In 2017, Council identified the Lynn Valley Town Centre to Lynn Creek Town Centre Cycling Route as a priority route. Council later reconfirmed the route as a priority at a workshop in 2021.

Completion of the Lynn Valley to Lynn Creek Town Centre Cycling Route will provide a continuous, safe corridor for cyclists. In addition, pedestrian and cyclist visibility will be improved with additional lighting and the replacement of old light fixtures with LED lights where possible to reduce maintenance and energy costs.
