We are working with our partners, BC Housing and RainCity Housing, to develop this site.

The application as submitted proposes a five-storey building with 60 supportive housing apartments for women and women-led households experiencing homelessness, or who are at risk of homelessness. It includes 26 parking spaces for staff, trades, medical, and other professional visitors.

Site overview

The site includes nine parcels of District-owned land currently licensed for the storage of vehicles. Adjacent uses include light industrial, commercial, and mixed-use commercial/residential buildings.

The OCP designates this site as Light Industrial Commercial.

Additional requirements

If the application proceeds, it will require rezoning and an OCP amendment. It will also require a development permit for: 

  • Form and character
  • Energy and water conservation
  • Creek hazard

The floor space ratio (the building's total floor area in relation to the size of the lot) is approximately 1.52.
