Lillooet Road housing site (rezoning)
To help address the shortage of social and affordable housing options for District residents, we updated the land use designation and zoning for this land in fall 2023.
We thank the BC Government for funding the design and development of 166 homes through the Community Housing Fund. Find details on the March 19, 2024, funding announcement in the 'Status and process updates' tab.
The Community Housing Fund Program supports housing for families, independent seniors, and individuals. This social housing project will offer a mix of unit sizes and rental rates to help house North Vancouver residents.
We will work with local non-profit More Than a Roof Housing Society and funding partner BC Housing on the design and development of this project.
These designs will be shared with the community as part of the development permit application process anticipated in 2025.

October 24, 2023 — Public hearing

This District-owned site is currently vacant. It is approximately 2.4 acres (9,900m2) in size, and is located at the southwest corner of Old Lillooet Road and Lillooet Road.
Current land use designation
The OCP designates this site Residential Level 5 (RES 5).
Proposed size
The proposed floor space ratio (the building's total floor area in relation to the size of the lot) is 1.75.
