Get a property tax certificate
There are two ways you can get a property tax certificate:
- Online
- Through District Hall
Getting your certificate online
If you are from a professional firm or financial institution, or you're a consumer who provides your service throughout the Lower Mainland or province, you can purchase your property tax certificate through:
- The Land Title and Survey Authority of British Columbia (LTSA)
- Access Point Information Canada (APIC)
Getting your certificate at District Hall
You can get a property tax certificate from the Revenue and Taxation Department at District Hall if you meet one of these conditions:
Registered owners
If you are a registered owner, you can get a property tax certificate with proof of identification. There is no charge for this service.
Real estate agent representing the registered owner
If you are a real estate agent representing a registered owner, you can get a property tax certificate by:
- Presenting a letter of authorization from the registered owner, or proof of the agency agreement
- Paying a fee of $45
