DNVFRS becomes internationally accredited agency

In April 2022, District of North Vancouver Fire and Rescue Services (DNVFRS) became the second agency in BC and one of only nine fire departments in Canada to receive prestigious international accreditation from the Commission on Fire Accreditation International (CFAI).
Becoming an accredited agency is all about self improvement. The journey to achieve this level of recognition means that DNVFRS is committed to:
- providing the community with an innovative, progressive fire department
- establishing a culture of continuous improvement
- sharing data with elected officials and stakeholders to inform decision making
- receiving independent validation of work
