Preparing for snow and ice

Snow and subzero temperatures are in the forecast. Unfortunately, that means the possibility of power outages, blocked roads and icy conditions.

To stay safe, remember to plan ahead for winter conditions, including creating a family emergency plan and supply kit. Also, use caution when driving, riding and walking, and be aware of the increased risk of frostbite and hypothermia when outdoors.

During extreme weather conditions, check in with friends, family members and neighbours who are most vulnerable.
