Remembrance Day ceremonies in North Van

On November 11, we will be honouring the courage of Canadians who fought to defend our way of life and the freedoms that we enjoy today.

Two Remembrance Day ceremonies are taking place in North Vancouver on November 11. Everyone is welcome to attend.

  • The annual Remembrance Day ceremony is held at Whey-ah-wichen/Cates Park (4141 Dollarton Highway), starting at 10:15am. The event is sponsored in partnership with the Burrard Yacht Club, District of North Vancouver, and North Vancouver Recreation & Culture. Get event details at the NVRC website
  • The Lynn Valley Legion will be hosting a Remembrance Day ceremony and wreath laying at its branch at 1630 Lynn Valley Road (lower parking lot), starting at 10:45am.

District Hall closed on Nov. 13

District Hall will be closed November 13 for the Remembrance Day holiday. For after-hours emergencies or service (4:30pm to 8:00am), please call 604-990-3666.

Due to the holiday, your garbage pick-up day will change next week.
