The North Shore Advisory Committee on Disability Issues provides a forum for discussion of issues affecting people with all types of disabilities. They formulate proposals, respond to requests, and make recommendations to the three North Shore municipalities (the City and District of North Vancouver and the District of West Vancouver,) that will promote, develop, and sustain an accessible community, free of physical and social barriers. The committee is currently looking for new members. 

The District of North Vancouver intends to adopt Park Dedication Removal Bylaw 8206, 2016. Learn about the bylaw and the process for approving it.

This year, we will be providing free carts with wheels and locking lids — one for garbage and one for organic waste — to every home in the District that receives residential garbage collection.

We're exploring new ways to use the Internet and other digital tools (apps, mobile devices, and so on) to increase your access to District Hall, and we'd like your help. Please take a few minutes to tell us about your experiences using our current online tools, and how we could improve or add to those tools to make it easier to interact and do business with us. We'll consider what we learn as we plan future improvements and additions to DNV.org and develop additional digital tools and services.
