Garbage, recycling, and organic waste collection services
We continue to collect garbage, organics, and recycling during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Please keep a distance of at least two metres from our collection crews and wait until after the truck departs to bring your emptied carts back in to help everyone stay safe.

Disposing hygiene products during the COVID-19 pandemic
To help protect worker safety, be sure to put used tissues, hygiene products, personal protective equipment and medical waste in secure bags before putting them in your garbage (and keep them out of your blue box).

Public meetings
District Council meetings will now be held in a hybrid format with a combination of in-person and electronic participation by some or all Council members, staff and the public. The public is invited to attend the Council Chamber, where they will be able to see and hear the entire proceedings.
Due to a public health order, face masks must be worn at all times when attending meetings and attendance in the Council Chamber will be limited to 48. Registered in-person public input speakers will have a reserved seat while observers beyond the maximum capacity will be directed to observe the meeting online.
If you would like to sign up to speak at a meeting virtually or in-person, you must email the Municipal Clerk at signup@dnv.org before 3pm noon on the day of the meeting.
Public hearings
Public hearings are now being held in a hybrid format. You can attend public hearings in person or virtually. If you would like to speak at the public hearing, in person or online, you must register in advance by emailing the Municipal Clerk at signup@dnv.org.
Advisory committee meetings
Meetings with advisory committees are held virtually to complete essential work. All in-person meetings are suspended at this time.
