Extreme cold
Winter storms can produce high winds, heavy snowfall, freezing rain, and subzero temperatures that can cause power outages, blocked roads, and icy conditions.
To stay safe, remember to plan ahead for winter conditions, including creating a family emergency plan and supply kit. Also, use caution when driving, riding and walking, and be aware of the increased risk of frostbite and hypothermia when outdoors.
During extreme weather conditions, check in with friends, family members, and neighbours who are most vulnerable.
An Extreme Weather Alert is in place due to cold temperatures. Please see a list of daytime and overnight warming places below on this page.

Weather-related service disruption
If bad weather conditions prevent us from collecting your bins as scheduled, please remove your carts from the curb and set them out again on the next scheduled pick-up day.
