Are you a recreational boater looking for a place to launch or moor your boat? Cates Park/Whey-ah-Wichen offers a boat launch and Gallant Wharf has temporary moorage available.

Cates Park/Whey-ah-Wichen boat launch

The boat launch at Cates Park/Whey-ah-Wichen is open year-round for launching boats up to 36 feet. It is open daily from 6 am - 10 pm. You can purchase daily boat launch tickets from the on-site ticket machine.

Interested in getting a yearly boat launch permit? You can apply for one online or in person at District Hall.

Only one boat launch permit per vehicle will be issued.

How to apply online

Step 1 Download and complete the boat launch pass application form.
Step 2 Attach a copy of your vehicle, boat, and trailer registrations, along with your BC Driver's license. Email the form and required documents to enquiries@dnv.org.
Step 3 After receiving your application and documents, we will email you a web link to pay the fee online by credit card. Once we receive your payment, we will email your boat launch vehicle decal. This step can take 1-3 days.

 

How to apply in person

Step 1 Download the boat launch pass application form.
Step 2 Bring the completed form to District Hall along with your BC driver's license and a copy of your vehicle, boat, and trailer registrations.
Step 3 We'll process your application and issue your boat launch decal while you wait.

Gallant Wharf moorage

Temporary moorage is available at Gallant Wharf in Deep Cove. Moorage is available by hour or month.

You can apply for a boat moorage pass online or in person at District Hall.
