Phibbs Exchange construction update

TransLink has provided an update on its construction project at Phibbs Exchange:

Effective immediately, to accommodate the construction of the new Phibbs Exchange, TransLink has closed all bays in the bus exchange and relocated bus stops to temporary locations at the nearby street network until mid-2024.

Customers are encouraged to give themselves extra time between transfers and to sign up for TransLink transit alerts for the latest information on their bus route.

Off-ramp to Dollarton Highway closed

The Ministry of Transportation will be closing the Highway 1 westbound off-ramp to Dollarton Highway in North Vancouver (Exit 23B)  from July 31 to August 9 due to construction work related to the Phibbs Transit Exchange Project.

Vehicles exiting Highway 1 westbound to access Dollarton Highway and Deep Cove can use the next exit (23A) to access a temporary detour that follows the Highway 1 off-ramp to Main Street.

Over-height vehicles (higher than 4.32 metres) must exit at 23A to avoid colliding with the Dollarton flyover structure.

As part of this work, the east side walkway of the Ironworkers Memorial Bridge will be closed from July 31 until Aug. 25 to allow improvements to the sidewalk and multi-use pathway along the south side of Main Street near the construction zone.

Pedestrians and cyclists will need to use the west side of the Ironworkers Memorial Bridge to cross Burrard Inlet during this time. Follow all posted signage identifying detour routes and construction areas.
