2016 Design Excellence and Heritage Award winners announced
This year's winners for both the 2016 Heritage Awards and the 2016 Design Excellence Awards were presented at a special ceremony at District Hall on Monday, February 27.
Advisory Design Panel Awards
Selected by the District’s Advisory Design Panel, this award recognizes projects that significantly contribute to the built environment (e.g. buildings, streets, open spaces, and infrastructure) of our community.
This year's award recipients
A 2016 Award of Excellence was presented for each of these projects:
- Northwoods Village, commercial and residential development at 2150 Front Street and 2150 Dollarton Highway
- Connect at Nature’s Edge, townhomes at 757 Orwell Street
- Amadon Plaza, commercial development at 1226 Marine Drive

Chosen by the District’s Community Heritage Committee, the Heritage Awards honour special projects and accomplishments in the field of preservation and protection of heritage buildings.
