Provide your feedback on the Gallant Avenue pilot project

We're supporting Deep Cove's local businesses, improving traffic circulation, and promoting the continued safe enjoyment of Deep Cove for both residents and visitors, by piloting an expanded pedestrian and seating area on Gallant Avenue.

2019 Annual Report now available for review

The 2019 Annual Report provides all of the elements of annual reporting as outlined in the Community Charter.  Review it online, or pick up a printed copy at District Hall or District Libraries (by appointment)

NVDPL Express

North Vancouver District Public Library (NVDPL) staff have been working hard to serve our community through Library Takeout, NVDPL From Home, and virtual programming. The new NVDPL Express program was recently launched, which is the first step to reintroducing some in-person services at our libraries. Starting July 7, services include:

Playgrounds reopening starting June 1

Playgrounds across the North Shore will begin reopen on Monday, June 1. Crews are preparing to welcome the community back to outdoor playgrounds, which have been closed since mid-March due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Final report re: independent review of pigeon prohibition bylaw delivered to CAO

Message from the Office of the CAO: The District of North Vancouver retained David Loukidelis QC to conduct an independent review of the events and processes leading to the adoption of Bylaw 8402, known as the “Pigeon Prohibition Bylaw”. Mr. Loukidelis has completed his work and delivered his final report, including findings and recommendations to me today, February 19, 2020.
