With the record breaking number of wet days in October and November, we have been unable to complete final paving across the bridge, and have postponed final completion until warm and dry weather returns in the spring. Contractors have been preparing the site for temporary line painting and will be opening additional lanes on the bridge as soon as appropriate weather and road conditions allow. In the meantime, restoration work in Bridgman Park is ongoing and set for completion by December 31, 2016.

We are studying options for providing additional sports field inventory in Inter River Park, while minimizing impacts to the environment, adjacent uses, and neighbours. The park is a regionally significant, multi-venue athletic facility with multiple sports fields, a lacrosse box, and a bike skills park, and is connected by popular trails, with access to adjacent natural features such as Lynn Creek.
